Safe but effective methods for cleaning silver fox

To quickly and thoroughly clean a silver fox at home, you can use one of the following methods:

  • Soapy water. We take a double piece of gauze, moisten it in a mild soap solution (from liquid soap or shampoo) and squeeze it carefully. We wind it on a brush for cleaning the fur and use it to process the product along the direction of the pile. After cleaning, we carry out a wet cotton swab or soft sponge over the treated area. It is necessary to ensure that moisture does not penetrate to the lower layer of the skin.
  • Vinegar or alcohol. Wet a clean and soft sponge with undiluted medical alcohol, wring it out, use it to treat the surface of the product. First we work against the direction of the pile, then along the way. At home, this method is recommended to be used very carefully only when it noticeably dims or sticks together. With frequent cleaning, the fur can be overdried. Vinegar is used in exactly the same way.

  • Gasoline and talc. The first component must be cleaned (they are charged with lighters). Knead the gruel from the two ingredients, apply it in a thin layer to the contaminated places and leave to dry. After that, comb out the mass with a brush. If the first races are scary to take risks, you can just sprinkle the problem areas with talcum powder and clean it after a few minutes.
  • Hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. This method is used to eliminate yellowness, which often occurs on the white part of the pile. For 400 ml of water we take a tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide and a teaspoon of ammonia. In the resulting product, we moisten the cotton pad and methodically process the entire product.

Drying processed silver fox products is best in the sun. This will speed up the process and provide an additional whitening effect.
